About us

So, What Is This Website?

This is a guide site for anyone in Pakistan who has ever stood in a queue wondering whether they brought the right papers for their identity card. We write about the CNIC in plain words: how to apply, how to renew, what documents you need, what the fees usually cover, and what to do when something goes wrong.

Who Is It For?

Mostly ordinary people. A student getting a first card at eighteen. A mother updating a family record. Someone abroad trying to work out what the process looks like from there. A shopkeeper who simply wants a straight answer without a lecture. If that sounds like you, you’re in the right place.

How the Idea Came About

A relative of ours lost his card while travelling. Finding out what to do next took far longer than it should have, because every page said something slightly different and half of them were years old. After helping him sort it out, we wrote the steps down for the next person. That small set of notes grew into this website.

What’s Inside

  • Easy walkthroughs for new cards, renewals, and corrections.
  • Checklists of the papers people commonly need.
  • Explanations of terms and forms that tend to confuse first-timers.
  • Reminders about fraud and how to avoid it.

How We Write

Each article is built from official announcements, public notices, and the real experiences people have shared with us. We write for a first-time reader, which means short sentences and no unexplained jargon. Rules change, and fees get revised, so we revisit older pages and fix them when we find something outdated.

Important: We Are Not NADRA

This website is independent. It has no link to NADRA or any government office, and it cannot issue, renew, print, or track a card. We have no access to anyone’s records. What we offer is general information, and for anything official, you’ll need to deal directly with the relevant authority.

A Word of Caution

Identity documents are valuable, and some people try to exploit that. Be wary of strangers who promise faster processing for a fee, and never post photos of your card or share its number in public places. If an offer sounds too convenient, pause and verify it first.

Corrections and Suggestions

None of us knows everything. If you spot something out of date, or you’d like a topic covered, please reach out through the Contact Us page. Your note could spare someone else a wasted trip.

Wishing you smooth paperwork and short queues.
